Yoohooo, I am back!

We got back from France last night. We REALLY didn't want to come back, even the doggies were very reluctant. All week we had been living in winter wonderland. I know you are all sick of snow and snow pics, but you'd better prepare yourself, because tomorrow I'll just have to show you some ( you can always just not look, lolol ). Because out there we live in the middle of nowhere with very few people living in the area, the beautiful countryside just stays pristinely white forever, well until the snow or frost melts away that is. But I'll tell you more about all that tomorrow, and the day after, and probably the day after that as well, lol.

Today I'll just ease you gently into the holiday, with some crochet pics. Because I have been asked about the progress on my wrap/ lap blanket ( still not entirely sure but veering towards a lovely big wrap ). I am so glad I took my Manos del Uruguay yarn with me. I managed to get quite a few squares done sitting by the fire, yes Sarah, in my comfy slippers, baggy joggers and big jumper, with Hector by my feet and a happy grin on my face.

See? I now have 4 stacks of 18 squares, total of 72, which should be plenty for a nice large wrap or even a small lap lankie -

The biggest problem now is finding enough floor space to lay out the squares and arrange them properly. Hmmm. Rather difficult when you are a terrible hoarder like me and have stuff absolutely everywhere. And trying to keep the dogs away. Hmmm. At least I can put them in their indoor kennel for a bit. Bribing them with scoobiesnacks usually works quite well. I'll have to try and get that sorted tomorrow, I really want to crack on with this, make a final decision on what its going to be, and start sewing the squares together. And then crocheting round the the whole lot. So I can actually use it whilst it is still cold enough to use it.

There you go, that was nice and short wasn't it? Told ya I would go easy today, tehehehe. Well, I had to keep it short really, because after dinner I have to start catching up on a week's worth of blogs. Should be finished round about 4am ;-).

Toodlepip, xx

Glad you had a good time. Could you spread your squares out on the bed or is it to be bigger than a double bed size? True you'd have to pin them all together before bedtime though!

I have done many Granny Square afghans and can't remember where I laid them out, but I love the colors you choose. Was nice you had the getaway time. I wish I could go somewhere warm. Did see some tiny buds coming up but used up all battery power on snow pics.
Blessings to you.

The crochet is beautiful - I love the colours and can't wait to see it finished. It is the sewing them altogether again....

Hmm. I'm having a think about what to do with them dogs. I hope you've got a table space high enough, and wide enough. Say, how about working on the dining table to lay these squares out?

(Sigh, I can already see one of them standing by the table and grabbing a bite at the squares already. Those fellas.)

I'm never bored of snow, and I'm still hoping we might get a dash more here!

Well, I hope I haven't offended you, as I used a goodly amount of the giveaway stash to make a garland for Valentine's Day. It's still in the reuse idea, as I reused only things given by you :o) And I still have a little makeover idea that I hope to get on with next week, using most of what's left :O) I wanted to make it go as far as poss, and use it altogether as much as I could. I have had great fun thinking about how to use everything. There was so much and it was all so lovely! I really can't thank you enough.

Love your crochet squares. You've been a busy bee making them all!

Time to start the day. Will be back to see the snowy pics. Hope you built a snowman!
