Treasure Hunt Thursday No. 13

I had my doubts about the weather on Sunday. It was supposed to be good, but right on the coast where we live, the weather is very unpredictable. Woke up on Sunday morning to very thick mist, so I decided to give the early boot sale a miss and try for the second, slightly later one. The sea mist was really thick everywhere, it wasn't exactly cold, but it wasn't the 30C and brilliant sunshine which had been forecast. But the boot sale was on, and so I was a happy bunny, even if I couldn't see to the end of the row, lol.

I found these gorgeous EIFFEL TOWER LEMONADE bottles in a box with lots of other ( mostly chipped ) bottles, but none were as nice and in good condition as these -

At another stall, I found a few nice pieces of bling. I know the large brooch on the right is missing one stone, but I am sure one of these days I will find a matching stone on a damaged brooch I can take apart -

I particularly liked this little brooch, I love the way the blue stone is held between the antlers of the stag -

It is frustrating that I can't get any better close ups, but as my Nikon is in for repairs, I have to use my little point and shoot camera, and it doesn't like close ups very much.

Yet another stall had these gorgeous old cut glass chandelier drops for sale, and of course I couldn't possibly resist all that sparkle -

All but one of my regular favourite stall holders were AWOL, sigh, but the guy who brings a lot of French stuff was there, thank goodness. He didn't have any lace with him, but what he did have was a whole pile of French linen sheets, which I resisted as I have quite a collection already. But amongst the white linen sheets I found a pink, very fine cotton sheet, beautifully embellished with white appliqued roses!! The sheet is huuuuuuuuge and absolutely perfect for the pink bedroom in the French cottage. In the summer, duvets are much too warm, we usually have just a sheet on the bed. I can already see it on there. Perfect.

It is laundered, of course, but I haven't bothered to iron it, it will only get all creased again when its packed up. I'll save that little chore for when we get to France, lol.

He also had some trims, and of course I had to get a couple of rolls -

I love the colour of the ric rac, it is such a yummy caramel.

Thats it for today, it wasn't a huge haul, but enough to keep me happy. Please go and have a look at the other links to beautiful treasures on the Blue Creek Home blog -

Hi, dear Liz, I see the fog couldn't stop you :-). The Eiffel Tower bottles are wonderful and that antler brooch is really cool. I can imagine the beautiful appliquéd sheet very well in your sweet cottage bedroom and the trims are great finds too.
They say it will rain here on Sunday, so I doubt that I will go treasure hunting and hope for better weather on the next weekend.
Hugs to you,
Julia

Sind das geile Funde. Ich werde ganz neidisch wenn ich diese Bottles sehe. Ich wusste nicht mal das es Eifel Tower Limonade gibt.
