JJ - I've entered another realm of Lalaland

Are you sitting comfortably? I wish I was - I can't move. In the past few days I've done an awful lot of clearing out & cleaning as well as repairing & painting outside walls before the winter. Today my Dad came round to help me cut down the dreaded evil ivy that was climbing up the wall past the upstairs window. So, after a thrilling morning on top of the shed breathing in ivy dust and itching for England and a trip to the dump to recycle all the garden waste, I wasn't concentrating very well. I unwittingly ventured further into Lalaland and I'm now exhausted.

What did I do? Well, my ancient VW Scirocco is battered and neglected as I LOATHE, DETEST, and ABHOR cleaning the car. My 10-year-old niece calls it "the bin" and gets very embarrassed when she has to go in it. What happened today then? Definite lack of concentration - not only did I wash it, yes wash it (goodbye 3000 spiders) but I went mad and cleaned the inside of it. I am in shock, but it's quite nice here in deepest Lalaland. I've had a nice soak in the bath and am now working out how to get from the settee to the kitchen to microwave some leftovers for my dinner.

What else? Oh yes. I have been summoned to deepest, darkest Hastings tomorrow to visit Her Ladyship Lizzie. OMG, that means I have to move again and pack up a holdall of stuff to cart over for inspection. Bugger, thought I was in for an evening of being completely splatted on the settee, with the distinct possibility I may sleep here as my bed is looking a VERY long way up those stairs just now.

Oh, and before I forget, on top of all that, I've been busy making things for the swap and at long last have made 2 lots of croap. No, there are no pics because my camera is dead. I'll be in trouble with Her Ladyship but I'm too tired to care LOL. I will post pics on my blog when the camera wakes up again......

Right, I'm off to hobble into the kitchen and see if I can work the microwave. TTFN

Hope your little car doesn't go into shock with all that cleaning! :O)

Ah so you are making some goodies for me!! Ooh how exciting, I wonder what they are? And what were you thinking ruining 'the bin'!!! Now I will have to claim my prize for having the messiest car! Actually it went in for a service last week and they cleaned the outside of it. It's once a year clean. Bit of a bother they didn't notice the mess in the car.

I just looked out the window, and it seems my little car is still holding up well. We'll see what happens tomorrow when I have to drive her. Could well be she falls apart - she's not used to water and vacuum cleaners. I honestly can't remember the last time I cleaned it - could well be a year ago.

Might be making something for you Sarah. Might not. Hah! You'll have to wait and see.
Bummer they didn't clean inside your car for you - how rude! At the moment, I shall hand over the prize to you, but not for long I don't doubt.

Hahahahaaa, thats too funny JJ. When you mentioned car cleaning a couple of days ago and I dared ask you whether you were going to clean the inside as well as the outside, I was severely told off for even mentioning it. Apparently those two things are never done together in one day. Sigh, thats JJ gone completely lala then, I'm afraid. Goodness knows what I will have to put up with when she turns up on my doorstep tomorrow, how much wingeing and whining I'll have to get past to get at some juicy gossip, inspect her swap efforts, her soapmaking efforts from last week, her crocheting disasters ( thats what she calls the hats she made, cos apparently they were only big enough for gnomes . And of course as she is too worn out to move much, we can't even go to the charity shops, or the wool shops, the craft shop............

It was a definite lapse in concentration L. I still haven't recovered, in fact it may take a while.

I shall lug my gnome hats etc tomorrow and we'll see what happens.

Wish me luck - it could have been the dirt & cobwebs holding my ancient chariot together. Hope there aren't too many potholes on the road.....
