I could kiss that man

Mind you, if I did, the poor thing would probably never recover from it, lol, chuck in his job and become a hermit in the woods somewhere. But come on, when a person brings you pressie after pressie, you just feel the need to demonstrate how pleased you are, don't you? So far, my poor postman has managed to escape and avoid any physical demonstrations from me, lol, I guess the huge, silly grin on my face when I see the packages he hands to me is enough to ensure a very quick exit.

Where to start? Well, I received two more wonderful gifts from the OWOH event, and before you go, oh good grief, not more!, rest assured, they are the last ones. Honestly. A little while ago I received this beautiful journal, all the way from the Phillipines, from the lovely Diane -

It is such a stylish journal, and as I said to Diane in my email to her, I think I will use it record my treasured Vide Greniers finds in it. She also included this, isn't it pretty? -

A big thank you to you, Diane, for this sweet gift. You can visit her at her blog here

From Maggie I received this fabulous hand knitted hat. I was really looking forward to this one, as I had already decided that it would be my geocaching hat! I love the pretty colours -

I have already taken it out geocaching and it kept me nice and snuggly warm. Thank you, Maggie, its really great! Do check out her blog as well, you can find it here.

Ah, and then, then there is the birthday package which arrived for me yesterday. I knew it was on the way, because my dear dear friend told me she had sent something, and the little temptress showed a little sneak peek on her blog as well. But OMG, I couldn't believe my eyes when I opened the box, I had no idea. I tell ya though, you are really going to enjoy unpacking it with me, step by step, bit by bit. But....................... not today, lolol, you will have to wait until tomorrow for a separate post. Mean, I know. But I have an inchie to make tonight, lol, and hopefully get it posted before midnight. Yeah right.

Until tomorrow then, toodlepip, xxx

Can you put up with more?

I hope you are not getting fed up with me showing you all the wonderful gifts which have arrived on my doorstep lately. They are all so different and all so fabulous in their own way, I have to show you all of them.

During the OWOH event I came across a blog called Top Floor Treasures, and I was really fascinated by it. Zoe was offering a zendoodled initial in her giveaway, and I was so intrigued by her work. I entered the giveaway and I won it!!! I chose our family initial, W, and it arrived yesterday. What an amazing letter it turned out to be. Now, when I was in my teens, I doodled a lot, errm, during lessons, lol, at home, on the bus, but boy oh boy, my doodles were like chicken scratchings compared to Zoe's zendoodles. They are incredibly detailed and I love my W so much.

Here it is in all its zendoodled glory -

Pretty amazing, isn't it? Now I am trying to decide what sort of frame to put it in. Any suggestions will be gratefully received, of course.

One of my winners was Sam from Cornish Contemporarys. This lovely girl made me a gorgeous tag as a thank you, using some of the bits from the embellishment pack she had won. How sweet was that? And the tag really is fab, and has already joined my collection of Blogger friends' tags -

Yippee, the second one!

This morning, the postman delivered a second wonderful little package. Another door prize from one of the blogs I had visited during the OWOH event. I was really looking forward to this one, as I had always wanted to see one of these in real life. What? A tiny little matchbox, altered into something really exquisite.

One of these days I will remember to be patient and take pictures before I open things. I will try, I really will, but unfortunately today was not yet that day. This gift was also wrapped in such pretty paper, look at these gorgeous birds! -

Exquisite small treasure -

I loved the teeny weeny little knob on the drawer -

Every side of the little box was decorated -

The top of the box is decorated with an altered puzzle piece, I wish I knew how that was done, it is gorgeous -

The altered matchbox was filled with tiny little treasures -

And even the inside of the box was so beautifully decorated! -

The creator of this beautiful piece is the very talented Jan. Have a look at her blog here.

Thank you so much, Jan, I adore this altered matchbox. It has inspired me to have a go myself one of these days. As soon as I have worked my way through my must-do list.

That is all for today, back tomorrow with a few little finds from an indoor boot fair this Sunday.

Woohoo, the first one!

I did say yesterday that I had a gorgeous little package arrive, and that it deserved its very own post. And when you see the pictures, I am sure you will agree. I was so lucky this year to win some wonderful door prizes in the OWOH event and this one was the first to arrive.

Now you will have to use your imagination a little bit here, because I was too quick with my unpacking, lol, I had the paper off before I even thought of the camera! This is such pretty paper, I think it might find its way onto some tags -

I do so love vintage style, and the beautiful old photographs, so you can understand why I was so chuffed with this. First, there was this gorgeous card -

And then, this oh so pretty heart, so beautifully embellished -

Just look at the lovely details, this sweet little MOP heart button -

and pretty beads -

Lucky girl, indeed, wouldn't you say?

And who was the very talended lady who picked me as her winner? It was Lynne, who has a gorgeous blog called Adorn. You can visit her here and drool over all her beautiful creations. A girl after my own heart!

I posted all my gifts on Friday, I hope that they won't take too long to get to their destinations all over the world. Fingers crossed.

Enjoy whats left of your weekend ( or the start of the new week, depending on where you are ).

One World One Heart 2011 Winners !

Gosh, I am exhausted! Is anybody else suffering from OWOHitis? I have tried my very best to get around to all wonderful bloggers who took part in the OWOH event, but I couldn't quite manage it. I was in France ( without internet access ) for half of the event, and as hard as I tried, I just couldn't do it. Having said that, I found some wonderful blogs which were new to me, and which I will thoroughly enjoy visiting again now that the event of the year is over. It also seems that others found my blog interesting enough to follow and come back to visit..... YOOHOOOO, hello and welcome, I am so pleased you like it here!

I have already seen posts popping up all over the place, announcing the winners of their door prizes, so I thought I had better get a move on as well. That generator thingy on the net is too impersonal for me, so that was out. I thought about writing all the names on pieces of paper like I usually do with my giveaways but 258??? My right hand was already aching from being on the computer for way too many hours, so I dismissed that as well. Lightbulb moment! I decided to ask my DH to give me 5 numbers between 1 and 258, and that worked a treat. He thought it was hilarious that I accosted him , sitting on the scaffolding outside the house, stripping the woodwork, three floors up! I can't even go up a ladder without feeling all wobbly inside, so I approached him from the other side of the window, lol.

Alright, alright, I know I am going on and on, and you really want to know who has won what, don't you? So without further ado, here goes -

The cushion made from a vintage doily goes to - SUZIE from Suziqu's Threadworks

Next -
The vintage French/English ephemera pack goes to - MARIE from Spun by Me

Next -
The blue embellishment pack goes to - SAM from Cornish Contemporaries Flotsam and Jetsum

Next -

The red embellishment pack goes to - THERESA from Faerie Moon Creations

Next -
The neutral embellishment pack goes to REGINA from Southern OOAKS

Well, thats it, I hope you like your little gifts! I am going to email you as soon as I have posted this. Please get in touch with me within the next 2 days as I have to post the goodies within 3 days ( thats Lisa's rule ), otherwise I will have to pick a new winner. I am a very happy blogger, all warm and fuzzy and gooey inside.

ONE WORLD ONE HEART 2011

THE GIVEAWAY IS NOW CLOSED AND THE WINNERS WILL BE ANNOUNCED SHORTLY!
THANK YOU SO MUCH TO EVERYBODY WHO VISITED AND LEFT A COMMENT. XX
I first came across this wonderful event last year, and was totally amazed. Hundreds and hundreds of talented bloggers participated in this event, offering wonderful door prizes to their visitors during the event, who were finding new friends and gorgeous new blogs to read. I found the event way too late last year to actively participate, but I was determined to take part this year. Right from the start of this 5th and final event. Sure. Yep. That was likely to happen, right? Best laid plans and all that, lol. Our last minute decision to go to France ( no internet at the cottage ) for ten days meant that I am very late, but still just in time squeeze in.

Have a look at the right sidebar if you want to find out a little bit more about me, or look through older posts, that will tell you pretty much all you need to know about me.

I am so looking forward to visiting all the blogs on the huge list of participating bloggers, which you can find
HERE. Lisa has done such an amazing job once again in organising this massive event. She deserves the biggest thank you hug ever!!!

I really appreciate all the people who regularly pop in to read my blog, and it makes me smile so much when new people start following my blog. I am offering two " door prizes ", and anybody, both old and new visitors, can just leave a comment on this post in order to be in with a chance to win. The only requirement is that you do actually have a blog. Thats it.

One door prize is this little pillow I made from a large oval vintage doily with beautiful whitework embroidery and gorgeous crochet lace. I added a sweet little image printed on fabric, a couple of handmade lace flowers, MOP buttons and some faux pearls from a vintage necklace -

I don't know what's going on with Blogger today, but it is going completely crazy at the moment. I can't post more than this 1 image, if I try and post more, it deletes everything I have written previously, the font size changes constantly, it is driving me nuts. I will have to publish this post as is, and hope that I can edit it properly later on. I have started over 3 times already, arrgghh.
UPDATE - weird, I have managed to post a few more pics with keyboard shortcuts rather than the mouse, but still get the ever changing font sizes, lol. Ah well.

Just to let you know, the second door prize is a big pack of antique and vintage ephemera, a mixture of French and English. I will post a photo as soon as Blogger lets me. And finally, Blogger let me, sort of, lol, just the one though -

I'll probably add a few more things to this pack, some vintage postcards perhaps, and possibly a little bit of French lace...... just don't ask me for photos today, lol.

I'll pick two winners on the 17th February, and email them as soon as the draw is done. So please make sure in your comment that I have a way of contacting you.

Toodlepip xxx.

PS - I have no idea why my writing is now in black, I can't change it back at the moment, arrgghhh!

UPDATE - I have had such a lovely response to my OWOH post, I decided to add three more prizes, so that there is 1 for each year this fabulous event has been hosted by Lisa -

I have added three little baggies with embellishments, one red themed, one blue themed, and one with neutral colours -

Good luck to everyone!
