Brocanting in France

This is a great time of the year for brocanting in France, even in our very rural area. I have been to a few brocantes of the last few weeks, and I thought it was about time I showed you some of the finds :-). I don't need to tell you anything about the bits and pieces, do I? You all know what these things are and if you don't, just ask. So, here is a bunch of pics I took yesterday in the garden -

After I photographed all that, I lost the will to live, lol, so all the beautiful ephemera and all the gorgeous old ribbons and lace will have to wait for another post.

Some of the small bits and pieces will make it into my Etsy very soon, I have listed a few things already ( you can check the vintageland blog or of course the Etsy shop itself ). The large things will have to wait until I am back in the UK in September.

Oh my goodness Liz I'm surprised you even have the energy to display your haul after coping with the heat, watering, picking, weeding etc. etc. I hope you are not wilting too much yet as the Summer has a way to go yet.
Love everything, of course, inc. those gorgeous little white figures, metal number rounds, some embroidered textural piece, rosaries and amazing silver plated bowls just to name a few!
Keep cool and carry on!

I'LL ASK!! What are the little white figurines? Apart from little white figurines?

@ marble rose - Those little figures were produced by a French company called Codec, a chain of small supermarkets, and they were given away as promotional material, I think I read somewhere it was with coffee, but I am not sure of that. There was a whole series of these figures in national costumes from all over the world. I think they are adorable.
