Green Paper's March Collage Challenge

I have only taken part a couple of times before, as I wasn't around for some of them, but I really do enjoy Mary's challenges to combine elements from 3 totally different images into one collage. They are never easy, lol, especially for somebody as digitally challenged as me. I had to enlist my son's help with a couple of steps.

These are the images Mary provided this month -

Not all that easy, right? But I knew pretty much what I wanted to achieve.

First, I separated the three images. Then I messed around with the colours on the first one to get a sepia like colour for the sweet lady. I cut out her name, Mo, and the word Company from the second image and cleaned them up. Then I got my son to help me with getting the floral pattern of the third image onto her outfit, just in one place, because Victorian styles often mixed plains with patterns in an outfit. I then placed the words, put a thin border round the whole lot, and there you go, challenge completed! I am so tempted to print it out and add lots of glitter to the snow, lol, with my trusted GellyRoll pen, would look neat, don't you think? Anyhoo, here is the completed challenge -

I am happy with it.

It was a lovely sunny day here today, but bitterly cold. Still, that doesn't put dedicated geocachers off, so Nick and I spent a few hours hunting down a few caches. Most of them were off public footpaths, which meant that for most of the time we were ankle deep in mud, lol. Hah, I was prepared though, I was wearing my lovely flowery wellies ( children's ones, lol, they fit me so much better, I have small feet ). I couldn't believe how waterlogged the ground was everywhere. Well, I could, actually, because we have had so much rain lately. I hope that we will a bit more sunshine over the next couple of days.

All that fresh air, however, means that I am totally wiped out lol, and about to toddle off to bed. I wish you all a good day/night wherever you are,

toodlepip, xxx

Okay, this is positively brilliant!!! When I saw these three images over on Green Paper, I puzzled and thunk, and couldn't figure out what to do with the three. I even looked at the words to see if I could tinker with them (as you did), but I never could have come up with this. Love it!!!

It takes a great imagination to come up with your design. What a good idea to rearrange the words.
Very clever.

This is great! Never occurred to me to use some of the text from the letterhead. That's why these challenges are so much fun.

Your piece is fab! I love how you've put it all together.

I really like seeing your different blog headers - it's lovely to see some sunshine at last. That looks like a really beautiful place you have there in France.

Very well done missus.
Although I did read it first as "vertically challenged". Can't imagine why, rofl.

This turned out just great, Liz! I love how you used the floral pattern on the dress! Very clever to create a Ladies's name from the company's ad.
It sounds like you had some fun geocaching again, even though you had to walk through some mud :-).
Big Hugs,
Julia
