You all know the feeling when the postman hands you a package, the excitement, the giddiness, the looking forward to unwrapping a little treasure. Well, I am going to share the excitement with you, tehehe. As I said yesterday, I knew this package was on its way to me, sent by my wonderful friend Dorthe from the Den Lille Lade blog. If you know Dorthe and the beautiful things she create, then you will understand why I was so excited. She is such a kind person, and the wonderful woman remembered my birthday! So, ready to start unpacking? Here goes -
When I opened the box I saw that whatever gift lay inside was protected by a layer of vintage dress pattern paper
Once that was lifted out carefully, I found this -
Have you ever seen a prettier envelope? And inside that gorgeous envelope was this card -
Just look at the thoughtful little details -
And then there was an OOOOOOOHHH moment, I found a little package underneath the envelope, wrapped in a music sheet -
with the prettiest tag handmade by Dorthe -
OMG, inside the package was ...........................
one of Dorthe's amazing mermaids!!! -
She is so adorable and I can't wait to take her to the cottage in France, where she is going to live amongst the sea shells in the bathroom.
You'd think that would be quite enough to make any birthday girl a very happy bunny, I certainly thought so, but there was something else in the box, another beautifully wrapped package -
I was really speechless when I unwrapped the gift inside, I honestly couldn't believe that she would send me...............
SWOON!!! Look at this most exquisitely made angel! You really have to see one of Dorthe's angels in real life to appreciate the fantastic workmanship and the amazing details. Photos are nothing compared to seeing the real thing
The details really are quite astonishing, aren't they?
And here are my two beauties together -
I am so lucky to have such a generous, thoughtful, dear friend in Dorthe. I am sure most of you gals already know her, but if you don't you really really want to visit her blog.
And to you, Dorthe, I am sending the biggest thank you hug for these gifts, which I will treasure always.
