Tag Tuesday Challenge- Bingo!

I like making tags. You might have noticed, lol. And I love looking at other people's tags. I have often looked at all the gorgeous tags these crafty ladies produce week after week for the Tag Tuesday Challenge over at Kard Krazy. It was only when I was looking at some blogs this morning though, that I realised the theme last week was Bingo! And I had just been messing around with some old French Bingo cards. So, I decided to give it a go, why the heck not?

It is such a shame that so many Bingo halls have now closed down, because smoking is banned ( and people do like to have a smoke and a drink when playing ), and there are so many online Bingo places now. End of an era, really. I have only played Bingo twice in my whole life, once in Australia, oh, probably 27 years ago, and once when friends of ours opened another Bingo palace a few years ago, and we went to the opening evening. It was fun, I have to admit. The best thing about Bingo though is the hilarious way Bingo callers used to shout out the numbers here in the UK, you know, things like - 11, legs eleven, 83, time for tea, 55, snakes alive, 78, heaven's gate......... I have no idea whether they do that in other countries as well. Hmm. Do tell me if you know.

Anyway, enough chat, here is the Bingo! tag I made for my first Tag Tuesday, with my favourite Bingo Call, 88, Two Fat Ladies!!! You can see why its called two fat ladies, can't you?

And just in case you don't know the UK Bingo calls of old, here is the complete list of them -

And now for something completely different. We went to the one and only indoor car boot fair in our area yesterday morning, and thankfully, it wasn't a complete waste of time. I did find a few things, I'll post about them tomorrow.

Toodlepip for now, xx

Oh yes, of course we have our Bingo calls..they're related to "La smorfia napoletana" ..but it's not as polite as yours, lol!
Ok, you probably have seen on my blog what's for number 54..he he..
77 is women's legs, 47 is dead man who talks (when you dream it), 90 is the fright, etc..
So cute the 2 fat ladies!

Glad to see you on Tag Tuesday, this is one of my favorites posts. I adore your two ladies. Such a cute bingo tag. And the chart---I'm going to print it out and take time to read all the numbers.

What a fabulous tag!!! I had never heard of bingo being called like that (I'm in the US), so your sheet with all the funny rhymes on it was so fun to read through. Love the vintage "punny-ness" of it all!

Hello Jo
Soooo lovely to wake up to your comment over at Q ofthe TC this morning. Feeling very chuffed. Very chuffed indeed.
You have something pretty special going on here yourself. And you definitely do need one of those aprons. Mine was a gift - but here they are here - you can find anything you want on the web.
