Lots of people took part in Sarah's fabulous apron swap, and I have thoroughly enjoyed seeing photographs of some of them already. My swap partner Luisa from Tasmania received her apron from me yesterday, so I can now show you all some photographs of it.
Luisa said her favourite colours were blue and green, and that she really liked the Dotty Angel style wraparound, tie-at-the-front half aprons, decorated with doilies, lace etc etc. I had such a lot of fun searching through my stash of vintage fabrics to find something blue and green, and then going through my lace boxes to find a few suitable embellishments.
This is the result -
I used vintage fabric, vintage French crochet lace, vintage English doily, vintage German satin ribbon, vintage German net curtain lace, and of course some gorgeous old MOP buttons.

And now for something completely different. There are some really awesome giveaways in blogland at the moment. Just have a look at these -
Or how about this little beauty? A beautiful and romantic altered bottle
I would so love to win either one of those, well, to be truthful, both of them, or course, even though that is extremely greedy. If you want to enter, click the links on my sidebar.
Off to do some crafting now, toodlepip. xxx

Oh wow, all that lovely vintage German goodness. What a very lucky lady she is. I love the doilies and lacy bits stitched on. A very pretty apron which I'm sure will be worn with a big smile.
Mm-hmm! That's a really precious vintage themed apron Lizzie. I wonder if Lusia could bear to use it :)

Hi Liz,
I love my apron!
So lovely to read about all the 'ingredients' you incorporated to make it up!
It definitely does make me very special when I put it on!
I love how it ties around the front too!
