Secret Santa parcel, woohoo!

I could have kissed the postman when he handed me this prettily wrapped parcel this afternoon, I was so excited. I was pretty sure that it would be either the Handmade Christmas Swap one or the Secret Santa one. I managed to control myself until I got upstairs to my workroom, where I started ripping off the paper. OOOPS, camera was the last thing on my mind, but I just remembered in time to take a photo, before I destroyed the wrapping completely. I mean, how often do you get a parcel beautifully wrapped in Christmas paper, through the post? Look! No wonder I got so excited -

And when I opened the box, I found these -

See how prettily wrapped the gifts are? I love that tissue paper with the birds and stockings -

I unwrapped the slightly bulky one first of all, arrggghhh, the teasing Santa had double wrapped this one -

Inside the second wrapper was this -

Isn't that the most stunning cup? And perfect for the cottage. I just painted the kitchen cabinet doors in a light green last week ( will post pics tomorrow, hopefully ) and the proper oak surrounds, beams etc. are still left brown, so it it will look totally at home there.

My lovely Secret Santa obviously spent a lot of time finding out about me, because all her gifts were totally me and couldn't have been more spot on. Just look at this beautiful table centre/tray cloth and those darling wooden tree decorations -

Ah, and roses, my Secret Santa knows me so well. These notelets are beautiful -

And last but not least, can you see the packet of tissues? I have never seen tissues with Christmas scenes, lol, they are brilliant. I was so tempted to use one, because I have a bit of a cold right now, but they are way too pretty, they'll be kept for Christmas and sniffly guests ( "Oh dear, you poor thing, got a runny nose? Wait, I have some tissues right here...." tehehee ) -

My wonderful Secret Santa was Lissylou from the Lissylou and 2 Little Boys blog, and she has been so very thoughtful and kind and I can't thank her enough. Well, I can try ......... THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU ......... teheheheee.

My swap parcels are ready to go tomorrow. I wish I could beam them directly to the recipients, a la Star Trek, its agony waiting for the packages to get there ( I am not impatient at all, lol ) and to find out whether the recipients liked their gifts.

Thats all, folks, xxx

Oh lovely presents! I have seen those tissues at our garden shop and thought they were really lovely too. Maybe I should buy a few packets for the stockings. Too beautiful to use, I agree. That cup is very stylish and I'll bet your tea tastes so much better in it. Isn't it nice to have lovely things?
