Blissful Whites on the line

Time again for Blissful Whites Wednesday over at the gorgeous TIMEWASHED blog!

Isn't this blissful? Laundry on the line in the garden, blown about by a (not so ) gentle breeze coming up from the valley -

I finally managed to find some lovely old French red striped towels at some brocantes I have been to recently. Boy, these towels are becoming so rare in our area, it is ridiculous. I should hoard these really, squirrel them away and just admire them every now and then. Hang them in the kitchen but don't use them. All these things go through my mind when I get so frustrated at brocantes because I can't find any towels.

And here they are, laundered and dried and looking oh so lovely in a pile -

Some are the softest cotton, like a tiny waffle weave or huckaback, some are pure linen, still with that gorgeous linen colour and the beautiful blobby threads, all are gorgeous.

I'll be linking this post to Becky's BLISSFUL WHITES WEDNESDAY party over at her TIMEWASHED blog.

Of all the towels that I have, these last the longest.

Oh the smell of fresh laundry that has been dried out in the sunshine and breezes. Can't do it here..to many trees hang over and way to many curious seagulls..hehe

The cloths and lovely and the stitching on them is equally so.

Hugs,
Regi

They are wonderful dear Liz, and some even with your first name letter, now dear, you have a beautiful bunch, to even use in your kitchen....I`m sure they will last all your life, even you getting very old, as they are not made from modern threads !!! but made to last forever !!

Was für herrliche Bilder....
Wertvoller alter Stoff.

Liebe Grüße
Sophie

That first photo is one of my most favorite photos ever! There's just something about towels fluttering in the breeze...especially red and white ones against that beautiful blue sky! So nice Liz!!
