Sticky Fingers

I had almost forgotten how very sticky crafting gets when messing around with paper and glue, I had been away from it all for so long. Soon remembered though when I had to start peeling drying glue of just about everything in sight, lol.

I wanted to do something with the flowers I made a couple of days ago, and this is what I came up with, a card for a friend -

I stuck a few black and white bird illustrations to the card and lightly brushed gesso over the whole lot, added some gilding flakes randomly, edged the card with a gold marker and of course glued on the flowers and some leaves.

And then I tackled the task of catching up with all the inchies I had missed over the last couple of months. Yikes. NINE of them! I think I got them in the right order.

HEART -

Red background, gold heart pierced by an arrow made from half a toothpick

MANE -

background coloured with Promarkers and Spectrum Noir pens, cut out image

ACCESSORIES -

I chose a hair accessory for this challenge. Hand coloured an image of a young lady and used a scrap of lace, a little bit of bling and tiny bits of ribbon to create a floral hair band for her

AIR -

I punched little 'AIR bubbles' out of shiny plastic

MAGIC -

Had to be a pink rabbit jumping out of a top hat for me. Magic wand is made from a toothpick.

MUSIC -

RAINBOW -

aaah, the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow..........

ANGEL -
Covered the inchie in a tiny bit of brocade fabric, cut wings from a scrap of gold paper doily and attached them to the tiniest little frozen charlotte. She is wearing a dress made from a teeny piece of lace.

NIGHT -

For the last tag of the year I used a photograph which I had taken years ago at our cottage in France, of an almost red moon over the hills across from our valley.

I am so glad that I made the effort to catch up, it feels really good to have a complete set of inchies for 2012 as well as for 2011.

Liz!
It just warms my heart to see you posting...I can practically hear your voice as I read your posts and I am so glad you are feeling better! The card for your friend is just beautiful, and the inchies, they are so small and adorable! You do so many different styles, things I do all seem to look the same to me...but I am learning.
I think this picture of the moon across the valley from your cottage is one of my very favorites you have posted on your blog.....I knew it right away...yeah, I guess you could call me a "Blog Stalker"!
Gald to see you!
Hearts,
Betsy
