Pink Saturday - Vintage Candlewick
I love vintage blankets and bedspreads. Gorgeously tactile old wool blankets, light as a feather cellular blankets and best of all, candlewick bedspreads. This is one of my favourite candlewick bedspreads, it has the most delicious pink and green floral design -

This is simply stunning. I love the soft colors too and the design.
I also love to do candlewicking stitch art. Not seen much anymore, but I am working on a few projects.

oh my!! Simply Fantastic. I've never heard it called candlewick. But that makes sense. I used to do candlewicking years ago. Across the pond we call it chenelle

Oh that is a lovely candlewick bed cover! I've got a couple of plain white ones for when we have 'spare beds' one day ;-)
That is the most gorgeous thing I have ever seen! I was reading through your blog and I would love to hop the ocean and wander through your house just looking at all of your lovely crafting items and fabric! I hope to get to Paris next year and I am going to buy French language books, and books, and books!

These spreads are hard to find and is yo do, they are pricey. Yours is a very pretty one. I have had them in the past, but what happened to them, Lord only knows.
I love your vintage bedspread, I found one in a flea market once and cut it up to use it in my patch work cushions.
Yours is too precious to do that to.
