Perfect timing!

Firstly, I would like to wish you all a very Happy Valentine's Day, may it be filled with love and fun and sweetness.

And now to the perfect timing of the post title. You may remember that I took part in a lovely swap organised by Kimberly from ArtJoyStuff, a 'I'm Dreaming of a White Valentine's Day' tag swap. And today, with perfect timing, my Valentine's Day swap tags arrived. They are gorgeous! Each and every one of them is a little work of art -

From Joanne at the Vintage Dragonfly blog -

From Becs at Rebecca Rose Designs -

It was so beautifully packaged, I had to show you a pic of that as well -
Why do I always forget to package mine nicely, sigh.

From Jane at Aralia Jane blog -

From Sue ( sorry, couldn't find a blog for her ) -

From Carol Pohl ( sorry, couldn't find a blog for her either ) -

And from Sylvia at Little Treasures -

Aren't they all just fabulous?  I am so happy to have received such gorgeous tags. But that wasn't all. Kimberly is fantastic swap hostess and she enclosed such a sweet Valentine's goodie bag -

Big thank you hugs to Kimberly and to girls who made these amazing tags.

Halloween Tag Swap

We didn't really want to come back, we were feeling so nice and cosy in the cottage in France, but I am happy to be back in my craft room! I didn't take any crafty stuff with me for the couple of weeks we were going to spend in France, and by the end of the two weeks, I really wanted to mess with paper and glue, and fabric and lace, and all that stuff. At least I had the wool to start on Vicki's wonderful PINK SCARF project so my hands weren't completely idle.

Oh heck, I have so many things to show you, from before we went to France as well. You remember the Halloween tag swap I was in? Kimberly at ArtJoyStuff is such a fabulous swap hostess, have a look at what I received just hours before we went to France -

Beautifully decorated package-

The tag book -

Kimberly made these great wooden tags for each tag book -

And I was so pleased with the tags I received back. In the order they were arranged in the tag book -

Aren't they all great? These are the ones I made for swap, you have probably seen them on my blog before, but I thought I'd remind you ;-) -

I have to go over to the Tag Tuesday blog now and post this week's tag challenge. Dang, I have missed so many in the last couple of months, I have a heck of a lot of catching up to do. Ah well, lets start with today's.

Halloween Swap

Just a very quick post, as I am soooo busy at the moment.  I was very late in putting my name down for Kimberly's September swap, I had somehow missed the original post. So the first thing I had to make after we got back, was the set of Halloween tags for the swap. Lol, oh the frustration! I know that Halloween is way more popular in the States, but I thought that I would at least be able to get some Halloween themed papers, stickers etc locally without resorting to the internet. Nope. Nada. Silch. And there was no time to order off the internet.

I didn't even have any plain orange paper, but I did have some scrunched up orange tissue paper an Etsy purchase had been wrapped in ( tehehe, thank goodness that I save just about everything ). I glued it to some paper so that I could run it through the printer. I used Glossy Accents on some of the  cut out images, like the cat and the skull, tinted the little witch green, and used some black lace and orange ribbons.  I also made a little orange bead dangle for each tag. I was surprised that I managed to find a few orange bits and pieces in my stashes, even though orange really isn't a favourite colour of mine.

I made five, only very slightly different tags -

If you are in the States, you still have time to enter the swap on Kimberly's blog. Tags are due Oct. 1, 2012.
