Treasure Hunt Thursday and a little project

I have been so caught up in crafting since we got back from France that I haven't had a chance to post pics of my recent boot fair finds. Sometimes they find their way into my craft stashes before I photograph them, and then they are a lost cause, lol, I'll never remember to get them out again and photograph them. But I did find a few things today from recent boot fairs, which I have photographed, and here they are -

I can never resist old books, especially old books with beautiful illustratons, like these bird books for example -

And bling, gotta have a little big of bling in my shopping bag -

I really liked this vintage brooch, with the beautiful piece of mother-of-pearl, gently cradled by wings.... fanciful, I know, but that is what this piece made me think of, wings -

Couldn't resist this little Sadler cream jug either, I love the Art Deco design and the delicate crazing all over -

You might be able to see it, if you click on the pic to enlarge it.

Hotel silver is very difficult to find, but I did come across these two hotel silver bowls -

They are such a lovely shape, perfect for a delicious icecream dessert.

Want more silvery treasures? I also found three Viners of Sheffield silver plated toothpick holders -

Their quality is outstanding, they are so heavy, but I still couldn't believe the price I saw quoted on an American site - http://www.tias.com/39/PictPage/1922525859.html, $85.00!!! Flipping heck!

I also found some really pretty metal stuff, for when I eventually get round to trying my hand at mixed media collages -

and a bunch of the tiniest little keys, which are just so adorable -

Last but not least, a 1930s vase and flower frog in the most delicious green -

I had to stick a few silk flowers in ( also from a boot fair, to be taken apart ), just because I love pink and green together so much -

There you go, that is part one of the post done. End of my treasure hunt photos. But..... I also wanted to show you a little project completed today, which was so much fun to make. Once again, I used a vintage tray cloth, I really like using them -

It is a little pouch, perhaps for hankies, or small serviettes or similar.

If you like white vintage treasures, and haven't already done so, do enter my giveaway -

Wishing you a wonderful day/evening, wherever you are, toodlepip xxx
