Tag Tuesday Challenge - The Deep

I really laughed out loud when I saw what the challenge was for this week - The Deep. You see, last week's challenge was Blue and Green, and I promptly went for an underwater scene. Perfect for this week, lol. I was sorely tempted to put the same tag up again, just for a laugh especially as I had only just managed to put my tag up on Monday, but in the end I thought that was too silly even for me, so I decided to make a companion piece instead.

Again, I knew exactly which graphics I wanted to use, although it took me a while to find it again. I combined the two gorgeous Art Nouveau images, filled the shell one mermaid was carrying with sea jewels, added shells to the bottom of the sea, and a few other embellishments.


I found a few of these thick abelone disks in a bag of mixed costume jewellery a couple of weeks ago, and I think combined with the pearls, they make a very nice dangly -


I loved working with the colour scheme last week and the brief for this week. Here are both sea themed tags side by side -

    Loving your new tags. That ric rac down the side is beautiful. Was that from your newly acquired hawl? The pretty sparkly bits are so gorgeous in the young lass's hands. I like a bit of bling on a tag.

    Gorgeous pair! I adore the new mermaid tag - the jewels and the shells are such a perfect touch, and those images are fab, such delicate vintage mermaids.

    Ohh Liz...I LOVE them both BUT you know that the mermaid one has touched my heart. (have to always love a fellow mermaid ^_^) I love how to added the dimensional effect to them with the sea jewels and the shells.

    I knew you would laugh when you saw this one and I thought you would be tempted to post the other one again! This is a wonderful companion piece and I think framing them together would be gorgeous! :)

    Fabulous pair of tags. I can see why you'd be tempted to reuse the earlier one, but lucky us. We can now see another of your beautiful "deep" tags.

    I love your white French pix and can spot a couple that would make superb oil paintings or possibly watercolor. The wall with the geraniums in the tub is one. The sky scene is also gorgeous.
