Every Inchie Monday Challenge - DANCE

I love classical ballet. I once saw Rudolph Nureyev on stage in Romeo and Juliet, and that was the most amazing perfomance I have ever seen. So, when I saw that this week's theme was Dance, it just had to be something to do with ballet.

I wanted to make a little stage for my ballet dancer, including the big red curtains which glide and swish so beautifully across the stage after each act. Hmm, not as easy as I thought, lol. Manipulating such tiny bits of fabric is even worse than dealing with paper! Got there in the end though, not very tidily, but they are recognisable as curtains. I printed and cut out the dancer and used little sparklies for stage lights at the top.

    How clever. Have you seen the film The Black Swan? Or the programme about a year in the life of a ballet company?

    Enjoy the cricket. I have a friend who loves cricket and she was horrified when she told me the score once and I asked if that meant we were winning or losing!! LOL

    This is gorgeous!! I can't begin to imagine how difficult it must have been to make 1-inch curtain panels! Beautifully done, and so very creative.

    I agree with Anni - making a whole stage set - lights, curtains and all on an inchie is pretty mind bloggling (this typing was accidental but I rather liked it as I was about to correct it)!!!

    darling tiny dancer, I know what you mean, I once did a page with a red velvet curtain, a daunting task.
    But in the end worked out. Can't even imagine how you did it so small!

    Purrsonally, I like your take on dance better than I liked "her" take on dance when "she" dressed me up in that tutu. Is it any wonder why I adore you so?!?
