I finished it!

I know, I was supposed to have finished it days ago, but life gets in the way of things occasionally. Quite often, actually. Like sudden lightbulb moments when some other crafty stuff just has to be done right away, or the many wonderful blogs one just has to read, people one just has to chat with on msn, and especially doggie love. Poppy is feeling sorry for herself and needs mega cuddles.

You remember this post, when I just couldn't decide which lavender pillow to make? And in the end I decided to make both, with a few adjustments after the helpful comments I received. I made the second design first and showed it here.

And I have finally finished the second one. I changed thing around a little bit, hopefully for the better, but kept it all nice and symmetrical. That does please my pair-loving heart, lol. Now I just have to decide which one I am going to keep and which one I am going to send to my mum.

I am so glad I got both finished now, I can put my sewing machine away again for a bit, and carry on with my lovely Manos del Uruguay wrap, which has been sadly neglected the last couple of weeks.

THE 100TH FOLLOWER GIVEAWAY IS STILL OPEN UNTIL SUNDAY EVENING. DON'T FORGET TO ENTER!

I love it, and the laces you used are real wonderfull, I would not know ,which one to keep, if I were you. Here in DK we have a childrens rime we are saying, and for every word we point from one to the other, -the last word said, and pointed ,is the one to keep.......
You made two ever so gorgeus little pillows.

  6. Oh well done Liz! We do put a lot of pressure on you to get a move on don't we? Just as well aye?!!

Anyway I think it's turned out splendidly. Love the little button flowers half way down the photo. The ticking adds a lovely bit of colour, but those laces, my golly they are beautiful.

How does one choose? Well I'm sticking to the first one you made, there's something about it, who knows what. I'm sure you'd guess which one your mother would pick.

  17. Hi Liz,
I am nuts over your latest pillow collage. The combination of fabric & lace is beautiful. I am very behind on my blogging, I had to read thru your posts. I have to tell you I collect tintypes, I use them in a lot of my altered art, especially love to use them on altered bottles. Those you showed are awesome. I share your love of Dianes tags, I am very inspired by her work. Lisa

  20. I love the combination of the bold stripes and the delicate, nude lace. I wouldn't have come up with that marriage. So.... I will just file that information in my brain somewhere, and because of my bad memory, one day I will come up with this brilliant idea, and think it was all my own!

  23. Absolutely beautiful. I wish I knew how to get the lace like you do. Do you just go to thrift stores or how do you come by it? I would sure love to win one of those pillows. I will be waiting with bated breath.. I think I would put our wedding picture on it. Blessings
