They were very clean but rather bare and really not very pretty.
After our lovely time in England two years ago perhaps we were spoilt for pretty villages. I wonder was in just that we were in the wrong part of France and if the southern villages are prettier?
We still have a lot of France to see especially the southern parts and I know that area is very popular with tourists for its climate and scenery. Where would you recommend?
Cheers
HelenHelsiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15136273834165751276noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2281736080969854483.post-70963671578076352512010-09-23T07:59:41.931+01:002010-09-23T07:59:41.931+01:00Oooh you've just made me want to go back to Fr...Oooh you've just made me want to go back to France again....we were on holiday there for two weeks earlier this summer and came away wanting to buy a property.
Everytime I see something french...including photos makes me want to do it even more!
Thanks for making me smile
((hugs))
Karen x x xTilly Rosehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07475130988089203271noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2281736080969854483.post-22702908654397548442010-09-23T00:06:56.497+01:002010-09-23T00:06:56.497+01:00Gorgeous photos! France is wonderfully varied in terms of vernacular architecture, but the 'air conditioning' and the person holding back the shutters are just like the ones I see round here.
